Group Training is an alternative hassle free option when it comes to employing a Trainee!

How does it work?

The Trainee is employed through CADET Group Australia and is hosted to you the “Host Employer”; this ensures a safety net for both you and the Trainee. If you find that the Trainee is not suitable, CADET is responsible for finding the Trainee a new Host Employer. When handing back a Trainee you are required to give 10 working days notice in writing.

Finding the right Trainee

CADET Group Australia will advertise your position, check eligibility for funding, short-list candidates and then conduct final interviews with you – You make the final decision as the Trainee has to be suited to your working environment. If you already have a candidate in mind we will then move onto the next stage which is to check eligibility and then arrange for the sign up to take place with the Trainee by organising all the necessary parties involved i.e., the Supervising Registered Training Organisation & Australian Apprenticeship Centre.

Support

A CADET representative will conduct 12 weekly monitoring visits to monitor the progression of the Trainees on and off the job training. CADET completes the administrative paperwork for all parties involved including the Department of Employment Training & Arts. We conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary action if required.

How much will it cost?

CADET Group Australia pays the Trainee’s wages direct and invoices you the Host Employer for the hours worked on a fortnightly basis. Superannuation and work cover, annual leave, public holidays, sick leave and attending college days are included in the cost, therefore during those times you are not invoiced.

Before the sign up takes place you will be advised of the hourly charge out rate and will be required to sign a Host Agreement once it has been explained to you.
