When employing new staff, have you considered a New Worker Traineeship? *User Choice Funding may be available to off set the training costs for eligible employees. Where potential employees are eligible the cost of training is fully covered!

New Worker Traineeships are designed to assist Employers with funding opportunities to employ eligible new staff to undertake a nationally recognised qualification through a Traineeship arrangement.

CADET GROUP AUSTRALIA

  • Deliver nationally recognised training
  • Fully qualified/experienced trainers/staff

  • Will provide a calendar of available workshops/training dates
  • Will arrange and check eligibility
  • Will arrange sign up process
  • Will monitor Traineeship and will liaise with both employer and employee

Full Time Traineeships

  • 1 – 4 years depending on qualification
  • Hours worked as per Host Employers Award
  • Quality on and off the job training
  • Gain a nationally recognised qualification

Part Time Traineeships

  • 2 – 8 years depending on qualification
  • Minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Quality on and off the job training
  • Gain a nationally recognised qualification

SCHOOL BASED TRAINEESHIPS

School Based Traineeships enable students to remain at school whilst undertaking a formal qualification.

  • Specifically designed for year 10, 11 or 12 students
  • Required to work one day per week with Host
  • Employer – paid (minimum of 48 days per year)
  • Gain quality on the job experience and a nationally recognised qualification

CADET HAS *USER CHOICE FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate II in Business
  • Certificate III in Business Administration
  • Certificate III in Hospitality
  • Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)

ELIGIBILITY?

An employee who has been employed by the business for less than the following:

  • 3 months full time
  • 12 months part time (working more than 15 hours per week)

Further conditions may apply and are as follows:

  • The employee is an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • The employee has not completed any qualification, which is at a Certificate III level or above in the last 7 years (not applicable to Commercial Cookery)
  • Employees who have a prior higher qualification completed, such as a degree or diploma are not eligible
  • Employees are not currently enrolled as an apprentice or have accessed it in the past 7 years

An Australian Apprenticeship Centre will determine eligibility.

*Funding is made available through the Department of Education, Training & the Arts.
