Drive Thru Recycle Centre
CADET Group Australia is contracted to Caloundra City Council to operate the Drive Thru Recycle Centre at the Pierce Avenue Waste Management Facility.
The Drive Thru Recycle Centre is a “state of the art” facility that contains:
- A modern “drive through” centre where customers are assisted to sort and separate recyclable items;
- Processing sheds for repairing, processing, re-processing and value adding to items received through the Drive Thru Recycle Centre;
- A dedicated “Recycle Market” where recycled products and materials are sold.
 The Drive Thru Recycle Centre has made a significant environmental contribution by extending the life of the current landfill site by 10 years. Over the last three years, Caloundra City Council and CADET have been educating residents about recycling and in particular which items can be recycled – saving landfill and providing a valuable resource to the community. The proceeds from sales at the weekly Recycle Market are contributed to Caloundra City Council’s annual grants program. This program directly assists community groups throughout Caloundra City.
