Have you considered work experience of your choice through volunteering? CADET manage a range of Government funded community work experience programs that are ideal for those who wish to rejoin the work force but lack the skills and/or confidence. Participants also have the opportunity to earn $800 training credits to further their skills by volunteering for a range of community organisations or projects.

Training Credits

Training Credits were introduced to help provide volunteers with new training opportunities. You can choose a training course in the area of your interest for job placement and your training credits can pay for the course. If you wish to obtain Training Credits, minimum hours apply.

You can use your Training Credits to:

• enrol in a wide range of competency based and accredited courses
• enrol in more than one course
• attend day or evening courses
• do a course that costs more than the value of your Training Credits, you pay the difference
• complete distance, or self-paced education on-line

If you are receiving any of the following Centrelink benefits you may be eligible:

• Mature age allowance
• Carer payment
• Disability Support Pension
• Parenting Payment Partnered & Single
• Partner allowance
• Youth or Newstart Allowances
